  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • For topping: 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
  4. Punch down the dough; roll out into a rectangle (1/4 inch thick). Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 pieces.
  5. Place rolls in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise again for 30-45 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter after baking.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm or at room temperature.
