  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz. dark chocolate bar (chopped and divided)
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spread flour on a small sheet pan and heat for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter in the microwave until fully liquefied.
  3. Add half of the chocolate pieces to the melted butter; whisk until smooth.
  4. Stir in both sugars until well combined.
  5. Mix in vanilla extract.
  6. Sift together cocoa powder, salt, and heat-treated flour into the mixture; stir until thick batter forms.
  7. Gradually add milk until desired consistency is reached.
  8. Fold in remaining chocolate chunks.
