  • ¾ cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ⅔ cup pumpkin puree, blotted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cream the softened butter with white and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, maple syrup, and blotted pumpkin puree; mix until combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in half of the chopped pecans.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet.
