  • 34 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans (drained)
  • 2 cups broth (beef or chicken)

Instructions

  1. In a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Transfer to a plate.
  2. In the same pot, add diced onions and sauté until soft. Stir in salt, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, and sugar; cook for an additional minute.
  3. Mix in tomato paste, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce; bring to a simmer.
  4. Return browned beef and drained kidney beans to the pot. Add broth gradually until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes before serving.
