  • 330 g self raising flour
  • 360 g granulated sugar
  • 360 g butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 30 g unsweetened black cocoa powder
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 90 ml milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 400 g butter (salted)
  • 800 g powdered sugar (icing sugar)
  • 1¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (optional)
  • Electric green food coloring (a few drops)
  • 250 g Orange fondant
  • 200 g Black fondant
  • 1 tbsp CMC powder
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Cream butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy, then add eggs.
  3. Gradually mix in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, milk, and vanilla until well blended.
  4. Pour the batter into greased baking pans and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  5. Beat remaining butter with powdered sugar; add vanilla and green food coloring until desired shade is reached.
  6. Layer pieces of cooled cake and buttercream in jars; finish with a swirl of frosting on top.
  7. Decorate with fondant witch legs and sprinkles.
